Workshop “Participatory Design Tools for the City”
The workshop “Tools for Participatory Design for the City” seeks to bring together elements in participatory design focused on the development of cities, how to build cities with people, improving the assertiveness of urban interventions.
We are a family owned and operated business.
In the Participatory Design Tools for the City workshop, we intend to address tools used within participatory design to promote urban interventions, after all, the city for all must be thought for all and by all.
The activities of the Workshop will be divided into two parts
The first part where we will address the concepts of the city, the problems that are faced by cities, the concepts of Jane Jacoobs and Jan Gehl, urban interventions, and interventions that resignify spaces in the city.
The second part presents the participatory design tools that can be used for the city.
As a practical part, it is proposed that the participants carry out an intervention that instigates people to think about other uses for a given space.
